Knut Skare, Chief Executive Officer
Knut Skare serves as CEO of InHand Electronics. Prior to becoming CEO in 2004, he was Vice President of Sales at InHand for approximately three years. As CEO, Mr. Skare is responsible for InHand’s overall strategic financial and business operations, in addition to managing InHand’s sales, marketing and business development activities. Mr. Skare, with over 15 years of sales and corporate management experience, is a proven business leader, specializing in building internal processes, procedures and management teams that a company needs as it rapidly grows. Prior to InHand, Mr. Skare was Vice President of Sales at Informedix, Inc. and President at Skatron, Instruments, Inc. As President of Skatron, Mr. Skare successfully led a turn-around and negotiated the sale of the company and its parent company. Mr. Skare holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Boston University’s School of Management. Early in his career Mr. Skare was a Financial Analyst at JE Roberts and, prior to graduate school, he was a sales representative and service manager in the medical device field.

Mark Price, Chief Operating Officer
Mark Price serves as COO of InHand Electronics. With over 25 years of engineering, sales and operations management experience, he is responsible for day-to-day tactical operations of the company, including QC and test. Mr. Price’s expertise is in the design and operation of low-power, hand-held products, embedded systems development and portable instrumentation. Utilizing his expertise developed through prior experience in government and military technology programs, including involvement with biomedical instrumentation, military handhelds, and wireless industries, Mr. Price has created significant design wins with several of InHand’s customers. Prior to InHand, Mr. Price served as a founder and President of DVP, Inc.- InHand’s predecessor company. Mr. Price has previously held positions with Pratt and Whitney Aircraft and the System Planning Corporation’s Center for Advanced Concepts, where he served as a Project Leader and Engineer. Mr. Price graduated from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering.

Carlos Valeiras, Chief Financial Officer
Carlos Valeiras serves as the CFO of InHand Electronics. Mr. Valeiras has been a representative on the Board of Directors of InHand and its predecessor company since 1998; he has worked in various positions with InHand since that time. Mr. Valeiras received a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden School, a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Prior to InHand, Mr. Valeiras served as the President and CEO of Sophia Wireless, a designer and manufacturer of millimeter wave communications products. Prior to Sophia, he was President and CEO of The Gemesis Corporation, an early stage diamond crystal growth company. At Sophia and Gemesis, Mr. Valeiras helped transition the companies from an R&D focus to manufacturing companies. He has been working in the field of finance, consulting and investing for the past 13 years. Early in his finance career, he worked as an Equity Research Analyst, covering the semiconductor sector at Lehman Brothers in New York. For the past eight years, Mr. Valeiras has been working with early-stage companies as an investment banker, management consultant and assisting companies in the capital raising process. As a consultant, he has worked in business development, production management and financial positions with various start-ups. Mr. Valeiras serves on the Board of Directors of two companies as a Principal of Advantor Capital Company II, LLC, an early stage venture capital company.

Jonathan Kim, Vice President of Engineering
Jonathan Kim serves as VP of Engineering of InHand Electronics. He brings over 30 years of engineering experience to InHand. Mr. Kim manages the entire engineering staff at InHand, including all hardware, software and mechanical engineers, as well as technicians. He also interfaces with program/project management staff to ensure all projects are completed properly. Prior to InHand, Mr. Kim was VP of Engineering at Twist8 Systems – a startup company specializing in VoIP testing. Prior to Twist8, Mr. Kim worked for Spirent Communications, a telecom test system company, where he successfully managed an engineering group consisting of over 100 engineers and technicians. Mr. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Johns Hopkins University.
